The healing power of water
Water is the juice of the earth and represents 75% or more of our internal make-up. Clean, pure water has many health benefits, and its fluidity encourages the purification of our internal systems.
Drink at least 6 to 8 cups of fluids daily, including mostly pure spring water or water that has been filtered. Herb teas may be sweetened with a little raw honey, sweet molasses, stevia or rice syrup.
Tea Time!
Pouring boiling water into a heated pot and adding bags or herbs is a ritual that unites people from all over the world. It can be a healthy pastime. Select tea according to your needs. Some herbs stimulate and others relax. Stress responds favorably to lemon balm or melissa, also known as bee-balm for its power to draw bees to its fragrant minty, lemony flowers at the end of summer.
Create your own health spa @home in your bath
For a relaxing and detoxifying bath, add 2 cups of mineral or Epsom salts to a jug with a lid. Pour into this mixture a little warm water and 4 to 5 drops each of pine and lavender aromatherapy oil. This potent combination helps to stimulate circulation, and strengthens mind and spirit. Shake well and pour into the hot bath. Agitate the water so that the salts and plant essences dissolve properly. Lie back and relax for 15 to 30 minutes.
